GetResponse vs ClickFunnels’ Actionetics: The Automation Showdown

An email marketing tool can be a very useful investment for your business to help you build better connections. In this article, we look into GetResponse and ClickFunnels’ Actionetics, two platforms excelling in online marketing.

We start our review by evaluating each program based on their primary purpose.

GetResponse

GetResponse has been around for over 15 years, beginning its operations in the early 2000s. The program took the e-commerce world by storm by implementing a modern take in online marketing, now catering to at least 350,000 users in about 183 countries.

Actionetics

Actionetics is a program released by the developers of ClickFunnels in 2015. It acts as the leading traffic manager service for ClickFunnel users to their current funnels. Like GetResponse, Actionetics also excel in automation workflows.

Functions

GetResponse

Email Marketing

GetResponse specializes in Contact Relations Management (CRM). Its basic utilities include:

  • Marketing Campaigns
  • Build a subscriber list with the help of 3rd Party Programs
  • Smart Automations
  • Landing Pages and Webinars.

These tools would be great for businesses that need a user management guide.

GetResponse also offers an efficient AutoResponder 2.0. This type of autoresponder allows the user to send messages by schedule, by action or events. It makes the process of marketing and responding easier by categorizing each mail.

ClickFunnels’ Actionetics

Follow-up Funneling

Actionetics allows its users to compose their newsletters or emails. It enables them to store contact lists, send out and broadcast automated emails on their own and it is also equipped with its lead scoring method (Action Score).

This records the number of successful customer engagements since their campaign started.

GetResponse Automation Features

Enlisted below are the known features of GetResponse:

  • Responsive Email Marketing Automations

Each email marketing campaign offers pre-made templates for users. They can use these templates to compose emails that are best suited to their receiver and content. This can help users to gain exposure and sales in no time.

  • Personalized Campaigns

GetResponse allows its users to conduct campaigns to help increase customer interactions. These campaigns are useful in the long run and lets users expose their brand to potential customers.

  • Analytics and Data Tracking

Users can know if their contacts are engaging with the campaign through GetResponse’s data tracking capability. Examples of these are A/B Split Testing and Click-Through Rates. These tools will be insightful for future target emails.

  • Smart AutoResponder 2.0 & Subscriber List

Helps the user manage the engagements and interaction with their contacts. Once Converted, Actionetics will segregate the contacts. This is through the help of GetResponse’s List Management tools.

ClickFunnels Actionetics Features

  • Smart Listing for Auto-Email Segmentation

Users can set out rules or standards for each of their contact lists. This functionality makes Actionetics email segmentation unique compared to other email marketing services. Smart List allows the system to add or reduce certain contacts. The following are specific rules that you can use:

  • Contacts Rules

Matches the contacts based on tags and action scores. These are info that the user can get throughout the process.

  • Funnel Rules

Categorizes the visitor based on the funnel that they came from.

  • Products Rules

Successful purchasers are put into a separate contact list.

  • Email Step Rules

Those who opened emails from your funnels are put into a contact list.

  • Endless Number of Contacts

Subscribing to Actionetics can be a bit pricey. The great thing about it, along with the segmentation, is its limitless number of contacts. This can help the users scale their markets and keep their expenses constantly to a minimum.

  • Adaptive Action Funnels

This same feature is what makes Actionetics different from the others. The way an action funnel works is that it carries out a step-by-step process. It can either send out a set of emails or even perform a specific action.

These are some actions that users can execute:

  • Integrate your current contacts from Actionetics to Third- Party Programs
  • Broadcast SMS Messages to you Twilio Contacts.
  • Process successful product purchases information to your Shopify Account.

This doesn’t stop here. Integrations, as I type this, keep adding up. Expect to see more features integrated as you go along.

GetResponse vs Actionetics: Which is better?

Let’s now find out which of the two is more effective in online marketing factors. We’ll consider the experiences of users to help you identify your needs and wants.

Personalization

If compelling design and visuals are the criteria, GetResponse takes the win on this one. It allows its users to pick and decide their templates. It’s also programmed with an advanced simple interface protocol within its customization tools.

Automation

If automation is the question, both win this round by default. Each of the programs offers a multitude of automation that can be flexible in all situations. This can be beneficial if you wish to open a diverse set of businesses online.

Some might agree or disagree. But, the real answer based on their experiences can only tell the true verdict in this category.

Deliverability

The receiver can only tell its deliverability based on their experience. Many of GetResponse’s users have said that the accuracy of its response process gets the job done.

Not only that, but GetResponse has far expertise in e-Marketing compared to Actionetics.

Effectiveness

Both are competent and credible in their own way so it’s a tie for this.

We recommend for users that wish to market and get sales to use Actionetics, especially if they already have an account in ClickFunnels.

The chemistry between ClickFunnels and Actionetics makes the process of interaction smoother and quicker.

GetResponse is a much safer choice if you wish for your links with your contacts to last longer. GetResponse’s engagement tactics allow users to experience comeback customers from time to time.

How much would it cost?

We shall focus on the more affordable and easier price points that each program offers. We’ll be looking at the efficiency and affordability of each plan. It’ll also include the limitations of each plan.

Since many newcomers are wary, we will only find what’s suitable for their needs.

GetResponse

Luckily, GetResponse offers a free trial for its users. It would last for about 14 days. Within those days, users will have access to the basic marketing tools.

The email plan costs $15 per month. This will unlock the following. It will grant its subscribers 10,000 contacts to their list—also, Autoresponders and Landing Pages, Marketing Automation, and 1 User.

This is an excellent price for beginners and small entrepreneurs to invest in. Starting your business at such a platform can greatly benefit them, especially if they manage to use the tools properly.

Actionetics

Actionetics is a bit costly for an automation product. Since it has a direct link to ClickFunnels, they have included Actionetics to a plan.

And it’s their pricey Etison Suite Plan.

This exact plan would roughly cost at least $297 per month. It includes every funneling tool that ClickFunnels can offer, alongside the automation program. The automation being Actionetics.

The price can be too much for a beginner so I would only recommend this if you can say that your business or brand is already established. This plan is also recommended for big companies.

Verdict

It would be wiser and safer for beginners to invest in GetResponse for its affordability. This is due to its compatibility with newcomers. Such experience makes up for the loss in Actionetics. Not only is it affordable but it’s also efficient in e-marketing.

Although Actionetics has its own greatness, we still cannot say that it would be best to invest early. I only recommend this program for current ClickFunnel users. This is because of its efficiency once it’s merged, but it would be best to try ClickFunnels first before you proceed into subscribing.
